RECIPE: Home-made Granola

Last week, I tried to make granola myself for the very first time and it was so easy and so delicious that I will show you how I did it in this post!

What you will need
  • Oats (I also used quinoa pops)
  • Seeds: you can use any seeds you want (I used chia seeds, linseeds, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds)
  • Dried fruit: cranberries, raisins, dates, etc.
  • Nuts
  • Spices: Cinnamon, cardamom, cocoa powder
  • Sweetener: Honey, agave syrup, etc.

For your home-made granola you can literally mix everything you want together. You could also cut some apples or bananas in slices, you can throw some chocolate chips into the mix… The ingredients are totally up to you and your preferences.

What to do
  1. Preheat the oven (150°C).
  2. Mix the ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Put the mix on a sheet.
  4. Put the sheet in the oven and let it bake for about 20-30 minutes.
  5. Take it out and let it cool down.
  6. Enjoy!

It’s incredibly easy to do, doesn’ttake much time and your kitchen will smell amazing afterwards.

Try it out, it’s not only healthy because it doesn’t have the extra sugars and oils like the granola you get at the grocery store, plus it’s based on your favourite ingredients. Trust me, you will love this after trying it for the first time!

Much love, Chris

Asos Haul Review

Last week, I didn’t feel like myself. That sounds quite dramatic, but I just didn’t really know who I was or what kind of person I want to be (kind of like a short identity crisis), and I also felt as if all of my clothes just didn’t represent me anymore. I opened up my closet and I couldn’t find anything to wear. Normally, it’s not like that at all – I used to look into my closet and instantly feel inspired!

So, I knew something was wrong.  I don’t quite know why I am feeling that strange these past days… maybe it’s the fact that I gained some weight or maybe because I just changed as a person?

Anyway, I instantly decided that I need to change something! So I went online and did quite the Asos shop haha – clothes always lift my mood!

Some of the things that I ordered were amazing (I kept most of them), but some of them weren’t at all. Maybe this little review helps some of you or gives you new outfit ideas 🙂

Beige Sweater

I am absolutely loving this purchase. I used to look for a pullover like this but never really found one that had a nice cut. This one however is perfect, and super cozy! I will probably live in it the next few days haha

Size: I got a European 36 – I ordered it a bit bigger than usual so it would be longer on me.

Price: 14,49€ (used to be nearly 30€ so it’s a great bargain!)

Wool Scarf

I ordered this scarf quite randomly, but I am loving the colour with my blond-brunette hair, so I just need to keep it know! It adds a bit of colour to my wardrobe, which is great for slightly colder spring days.

Size: one-sized

Price: 16,99€

Ripped Skinny Jeans

When I tried these on, I fell in love. They fit perfectly and I feel 100% like myself in them. I love everything about them – that they are high-waisted, that they are black and the rips at the knees. Also they are not too long on me, even though I am quite petite. Jeans-shopping is always really hard when you are short – I never find fitting pants in stores, I always need to get them online!

Size: W24 L30

Price: 41,99€

Disco Leggings

When I was about 16 or 17 I looked for pants like this everywhere, but I could never find a good pair! I first heard the term „disco pants“ when I watched one of Zoella’s videos and I fell in love – I just needed to get them. Now, yeeears later, I finally found a pair of disco leggings! They are quite thin, but I am really happy with the material and again, with the length. I am already excited to find different ways how I can style them.

Size: 34

Price: 25,99€

Rose-Gold Sneakers

When I saw these rose-gold sneakers on Asos I needed to order them. I think they look super cool, and I love the fact that they have a bit of a plateau (if you call it like that). Sadly, I was a bit disappointed when I tried them on. The size is great, but when you walk in them, they feel super heavy on your feet and you can’t really walk properly. I looked ridiculous when I tried to walk in them haha

I assume it’s because of the heel, but anyway – I will send them back!

Size: 36

Price: 38,99€

T-Shirt Dress

As you can clearly tell from the picture above, I have sent this one back as well! Honestly, this dress just looks like a nightdress on me.. I guess I am too short to wear something like this hahaha

Size: 34

Price: 20,99€

Turtleneck Shirt

This turtleneck shirt fit perfectly! However, I didn’t feel like it was quite my style – that’s the only reason I have sent it back. Other than that it looked great.

Size: 34

Price: 12,99€

That was my little online-shopping review! I definitely feel much more like myself now, especially with some of the new clothes that I got.

Do you ever feel a bit strange in your body? If so, what do you do to help yourself get out of that feeling?

Love, Christine

3 lessons for February

Today, I want to share three lessons with you that I have learned in February. I don’t want to go too much into detail, I will just put my thoughts out there and maybe it will make you think a bit about yourself too.

You should wear how you feel, it’s a way to describe and express yourself. This also made me wonder a lot about myself and what kind of person I want to be.

When you start to not give a f*** and just focus on what you really want to do, life becomes so much easier.

Just give. Don’t think about what you will get back. Simply give. But don’t let others use you and your helpfulness.

By the way, I wish you all a happy women’s day! I have so many wonderful women and girls in my life who inspire and motivate me each and every day, and I am incredibly grateful for them! Show the people in your life how much you appreciate them – but not only on days like this, everytime you think about it!

Spread love, Christine

February Favourites & Life Update

Today, I will show you some of the things that I have loved using & doing throughout February. First, I will write about my beauty-related favourites and in the end, you can read more about lifestyle-related things that I’ve loved this month.

Catrice Matt Eyeshadow Palette

This palette is perfect for everyday make-up! I mostly use the second colour from the left at the bottom row – I feel like that colour looks really natural on me and also suits my skin tone. What I also really like about this palette is that all of the colours are matt – it’s so hard to find an eyeshadow palette without glittery eyeshadows!

Catrice Prime & Fine

This powder is great if your skin tends to get shiny throughout the day. I bought it at the beginning of the month just to try it, and now I use it every single day, because it has helped so much to mattify my skin. Veeery useful!

NYX Eyebrow Mascara

If you need an eyebrow gel to keep your eyebrows in place, this tinted brow mascara will do the work! It does a great job and isn’t as expensive as other eyebrow gels – it only costs about 10€.

Hand Creams

In winter, my hands get super super dry – it actually hurts everytime I need to wash my hands or stretch my fingers! The hand creams you see in the picture above have really helped to reduce the dry-ness. Especially the one by The Body Shop has saved my hands throughout extra cold New York days.

Schwarzkopf got2be Dry Shampoo

Normally, I only use baby powder if I don’t have time to wash my hair but I got this dry shampoo in a goodie bag last weekend, and it works so so well!! I am really impressed! Especially because the scent is really okay and fresh – normally, the scent of dry shampoo gives me a headache! Also, it doesn’t leave any white spots in my hair, so I will probably start buying this product after this little bottle gets empty 🙂

Now on to the lifestyle-related favourites: I started doing ballett again this month! I used to dance when I was about 8 years old and I also did jazz dance for 4 years as a teenager. I am not quite sure why I stopped, because I absolutely love dancing – it’s one of my biggest passions!

So now I am starting with the basics again. It’s quite hard and a bit frustrating because I have to re-learn everything again, and also – I am reeeeally not good! Haha But it’s so much fun, I enjoy it a lot and I already look forward to my next ballet class. I want to keep practicing and work hard, so I will get better and better each week! 🙂

Rupi Kaur Poems

I don’t read poems that often, but I recently discovered Rupi Kaur and her book Milk and Honey and I am so in love! Here are some of my favourite poems of hers which I found on Pinterest:

I loved the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack, and I am also a huge fan of Dua Lipa at the moment – I would love to see her live and meet her in person! I am also going to the Chainsmokers concert in Haus am Kaibling on March 2nd, which I am really excited for.

You can find some of my favourite songs this month in this Spotify playlist.

I hope you enjoyed my favourites this month.

Much love, Chris

Today I want to show you my outfits of the week! It was my first week back to university after my semester abroad, which was really exciting for me. I basically wore the same clothes every other day, but switched up some things. This way I didn’t have to think so much about what I should wear in the mornings. As always, I will give you the link to the clothes if I can find them again.

First day baaaack! I was really excited to see my friends again, especially the ones that I haven’t seen for 6 months! I wore a soft, light grey blazer which I found in the Bershka sale a few weeks ago, paired with a plain striped shirt from Zara. I tucked it into black high waisted jeans.

For jewellery, I wore the same things each day: pearl earrings and some rings from H&M, and a gold heart necklace that I got from my mum for Christmas. (Jewellery is pictured best in the Thursday outfit!! 🙂 ) I also wore my overknee boots with every outfit, which I have already mentioned in this post.

Blazer: Similar (Bershka)

Shirt: Similar (Zara)

Jeans: Only

I wore a grey jumper which I got at C&A ages ago, tucked into some shorts which I got at Pull&Bear and black tights underneath. I bought the shorts one week ago and instantly fell in love with them! They look very business-y and chique, but are also really comfy to wear. I got them in the size S and they fit really well even though I normally wear XS. (They unfortunately don’t have them in XS)

Similar jumper: Similar 1 2 3 (Zalando)

Shorts: Pull&Bear

On wednesday, I wore the blazer from day #1 again. Underneath I wore a long black shirt from Vero Moda. To jazz everything up, I wore faux leather leggings which I recently found in my closet! I bought them at Pimkie when I was about 17 years old and then totally forgot about them. However, I was really happy to find them again because I really love mixing things up with different materials. In my opinion, they look super cool.

I am also wearing socks with small pugs on them (my favourite socks of all time haha). I couldn’t find the exact ones but I remember them being from H&M!

Blazer: Similar (Bershka)

Shirt: Vero Moda

Leggings: Similar (Zalando)

I had an exam today and also a reeaaally long day, so I wanted to be comfy today. I wore the same leggings as yesterday (I honestly just love them), the same black shirt from Vero Moda and on top I am wearing a light sweater from Zara. I really like styling cropped jumpers over longer shirts, it changes things up a bit.

Sweater: Zara

Shirt: Vero Moda

Leggings: Similar (Zalando)

That’s it for this week! This Friday, I am free so I have a looong weekend which I am really thankful for!

Which of the outfits did you like best??

See you soon and much loveee,

Ball Night & Prom Dress

There is nothing more than an occasion to dress up. This year I went to the „Bonbon Ball“ in Vienna with my partner in crime, Melanie. It was such a crazy and adventurous night out and I loved every second of it.

Many people have asked me where I got my dress, so I thought – why not make a blog post about it?

The dress is from the brand Lace & Beads, and I ordered it through Zalando two years ago. I got it in the size XS, but I still had to shorten it a bit. It’s feels very nice, is not too tight and just really beautiful. I couldn’t find my exact dress in the only shop, but Lace & Beads has some other really nice dresses which you can look at here.

Much love, Christine

Chris goes beauty #2

Today I will show you some of my recent beauty favourites. Personally, I love reading the recommendations of other people, so I thought it would be fun to do and also helpful to some of you.

Let’s get started…

IMG_2382-01J’aime my… Shampoo Shine & Highlight Blond Sublime – Franck Provost Paris

When I died my hair I needed a good hair care product specifically for blonde hair. This one is without silicones, so it doesn’t damage my hair as much as other products. I used to suffer from hair loss (mostly because of hormones) and using shampoos without silicones really helped me! The product works really great for my hair, so if you need something (not that expensive) for your coloured hair, I would recommend that you give this brand a try.

Gliss Kur Hair Repair – Schwarzkopf

This product is simply amazing. I use this for over a year now and it works great! You spray it into your towel-dry hair and then brush your hair afterwards. Firstly, you can brush your hair super easily which is perfect for me because my hair always gets knots after I wash it – this was such a struggle for me before a friend recommended this product to me! Moreover, my hair gets super soft and shiny when I use this product!! I simply love it..

IMG_2386-01Perfume „Oriental“ – Zara

I randomly found this perfume in the Zara Sale and I had to try it because I love oriental and sweet smells. The perfume is really cheap (4,95€ I believe) and it smells really nice. I love to wear it as an everyday-scent.

Coconut Passion Fragrance Mist – Victoria’s Secret

This must be one of my favourite smells of all time. If I had to choose one scent for the rest of my life it would be this one! It’s so sweet and nice, and if you spray the mist on your body after using a vanilla-scented body lotion it’s even more amazing! I basically do this every day because it smells so good, I am obsessed haha

IMG_2391-01Glam & Doll False Lashes Mascara – Catrice

My lashes are quite short and straight, so it’s hard to find a good mascara to really bring out the best in them. This one works really well for my lashes and makes them look much longer than they actually are.

Fit me! Concealer – Maybelline New York

I am using this concealer for years now, and it has never disappointed me. I always re-buy it because it’s just the best concealer for my skin. No other concealer that I have tried has such good coverage.

Hemp Heavy-Duty Lip Care – The Body Shop

This lip balm is super moisterizing and is honestly the best lip balm I have tried so far! If you tend to get dry lips as I do in winter, try this! It works really really well.

That’s about it for today. Did you try any of these? Write me what you think!

Until next time,
